It is ludicris you did not place ELVIS in your list, he has been gone since 1977, but his music lives on. There will never be another entertainer with that many dedicated fans, and new ones all the time. There has been estimates of 35,000 Elvis Tribute Artists World Wide, and the amazing part he never performed in those countries, and most of the ETA'S were not even born when he died. American idol seems to be looking for a star, new talent, unique but who will remember the winners 5 years from now.

ReplyDeleteI saw the Beatles at the Suffolk Downs in Revere Ma. That feeling was like nothing else I have saw or heard. I love The Beatles. Your are corect, you could not hear a word. They lip sinked, more or less. Why waist their voices with all that screeming! When their flying trans-porter landed, they ran to it and flew over all of use, waving. Just being their was all I needed, just to get a peak at one of the British Baby's. We didn't care if we heard them or not. We where up front and I can't explain that feeling. I think everythink now everybody wanted, just to see. Now I try to go see Paul McCartney when I can afford too. The changed the whole world, see also how they made changes in fashion that changed the world with pease and love, and maybe a little pot!!
