Toby rocked the PNC Arts Center in Holmdel, NJ on July 24th. He opened with Honk Tonk U. What an awesome show. The whole placed rocked. All 7,000 people who had seats were standing all night for every song. I have no idea how the 10,000 lawn seats way in the back could see any thing. He threw a few guitar picks in the audience, which the crowd jumped on. He also signed someones cowboy hat in the front row.
Before Toby came on Shooter was really loud with the electric guitars but he wasn't half bad. Lee Ann sang beautiful. She can really sing, but really not my type of songs. I did enjoy her though. I only knew three songs from her because I watch CMT just about everday, nut only over the last two or three years. Not bad from this Brooklyn city boy.  I am more of a Shania type when it comes to the women. Now she rocks. I saw her twice. Any way, back to the show. What an opening for Toby with the video of the aliens and the Ford truck. Awesome surround sound.
As a concert in whole it was one of the best nights I had in a while. Seeing my daughter sing every song and rocking to it was even more enjoyable. We all lost our voices by the end of the show. There were a few military people near the front row and Toby saluted them and honored them. Really cool. He finished off his encore with American Soldier and Courtesy of The Red White And Blue. Along with his red white and blue guitar.  Thanks for the meories Toby! Tom

What show do you see in Bristow?  The show opened with "Honkeytonk USA" the title track of the new album.  The only song he did from the new album on his last tour when I saw him in Baltimore last winter. Now the clever new single "Not as Good as I Once Was" is also in the rotation.  The three shows I have seen (Balt.
Bristow and Deleware) last week are less inspired with each viewing.
Toby has a chance to become the Bruce Springsteen of country music. He has the songlist and the crossover appeal to both country and the rock and roll fan if his concerts weren't so predictable.  He needs to lose the complacency of his playlist and give his fans something to remember. By using his past as the spice that makes a show memorable rather than the same set and song order everynight his "patrol" (the term he uses to discribe his fans) would become millions.  To use his capable past music "My List" or "Who's That Man" to name a few as surprise selections will not make him any less of an "American Soldier" and might stop the patrol from snoozing during the overated "Down in Mexico" or the forgetable "When Country Comes to Town" The rest of the concert is packed full of hits in the same order every night. They are wonderful tunes but like repetitive foreplay lose there climax if they always follow the same sequence.

Sorry Janenne I have never written a concert review but I couldn't let this one go by.......

Toby's Big Throwdown Tour 2 was an amazing concert.  He knows how to entertain his loyal Warriors!  The pre-concert show was so funny.  Noone can fire a crowd like Toby does everytime.  I will be back next yr to see Toby!!

I also want to write about Shooter.  He was awesome as well.  He sounds just like his dad.. I love his song "4th of July".  He is gunna be hugh.  He looks like his dad and sounds similar but Shooter has his own way...which is awesome!

Lee Ann voice was beautiful.  She was having fun on stage and I had fun with her.  She made some minor mistakes, instead of getting uptight she laughed it off and went on....very cool!

Can anyone tell me who originally sang "I Got The Picture, She Got You?"

Toby KEith is a great performer!  We had the chance to see him in Virginia Beach but the speakers were so loud that we had to leave. Seats were great but soo overwhelmingly loud we couldn't stay.  Lee Ann Womack was very dull performer.  We will watch him on TV from now on!!!

We went to their concert and Lee Ann was wonderful but we had to leave after a few songs into Toby's set.  The sound was way, way, WAY too loud!!  I love listening to him on the radio and cd, but I won't attend another of his concerts.  My hearing is too important.  On the way out, one of the concert employees said they had earplugs available but by that time we were in too much pain.  I can't imagine sujecting a child to that!

Was everything I expected it to be and more. We caught the concert in Vegas while staying at Harrah's in August. The concert was sold out, but we lucked out one afternoon while having lunch at Toby's "I Love This Bar & Grill" - someone had to sell their 2 tickets because of a family emergency. I never saw my husband run that fast before! I never thought he's be the first one at the bar, but he got them--couldn't have asked for a better birthday present. Only wished I could have gotten a picture after the concert at the Bar & Grill. Will be checking for future concert dates---can't wait to see him again---We love Toby!!!!
