The reasons for the rise in hip hop music are found in the changing urban culture in the United States.  It’s a culture, a way of life, a language, a fashion, a set of values, and a unique perspective. It's great to see the acceptance of hip hop as a global influence from the urban youth to corporate sponsors.  Hip hop is a spring board as a relevant medium of societal expression!
