Strange Gossip: Radiohead

Highly unusual, interesting news for Radiohead fans from MTV News: "Radiohead guitarist Jonny Greenwood has been hired by the BBC Concert Orchestra to write songs as a composer in residence. Greenwood's music will be broadcast in the U.K. by Radio 3, and he will also write for BBC festivals and theme tunes for programs."

Greetings Music Fans!

Here is your chance to be a part of  The Great Canadian Band Challenge
and make a difference in the world. Stand back Canadian idol. This is the
most exciting event to take place this year and you can beright in the center
of all the fun. Bands from all over the country will be invited to take part
in this, the greatest band challenge ever. The whole country will be watching
as some of the most talented musicians compete for fantastic prizes and a
chance to win the top position in this highly publicised event.

There's even more great news folks. We have a venue to start the challenge off.
Randy Connelly who owns the Evolution Night Club on Main Street North Bay has kindly offered to let us use his Night Club for the opening kick off of The Great Canadian Band Challenge. The Evolution Night Club, formerly Hugo Crazys Bar, has a complete new look and will be a perfect start for the opening segment of the challenge.

The Evolution Night Club also used to be the Bay Theater so there is lots of
room and the accoustics inside are awesome. Randy just finished renovating the
club and purchased a new sound system. It looks, feels, and sounds fantastic.
Boy did we get lucky. I really want to thank Randy. The date for blast off is
July 21. Other dates and times will be published on the website.

To our surprise music producer Mark Berry is interested in helping the winners
of the challenge achieve fame by offering a sound production session free of
charge and you can be sure that's no small prise. Northern Music Studios
wants to get involved and is offering a prize package to the winner of the challenge
and a well know local talent agent is also offering free promotional services to the
winners. Hold on though, because there are more prizes to come as we are only
getting started.  Don't miss your chance to get in on the fun and prizes.
